Getting Your Daily Vitamin C With Sir Jason Winters Gummies

No doubt that for most of our lives, we’ve all heard the virtues of getting enough Vitamin C. You might have listened to your mother or grandmother talk about how getting enough Vitamin C helps prevent common illnesses such as the common cold or makes you feel better when you’re run down.

In an earlier blog post, we discussed how you can keep yourself healthy with the power of Vitamin C. There are many reasons Vitamin C is so important in our daily diet. Even if you believe you are getting enough, daily stresses in our lives can make taking a vitamin supplement a good idea.

Stress depletes this vital vitamin quickly! Vitamin C is essential in helping the human body boost its immune system and provides powerful antioxidants against free radicals we are exposed to daily. Do you know what happens when you get too little?

Vitamin C Deficiency in History

Even in ancient times, as early as 1550 BCE, the symptoms surrounding Vitamin C deficiency were described by ancient Egyptian and Greek physicians. Hippocrates called the disease ilios ematitis. The treatment for the disease was for the patient to consume foods such as onions, citrus fruits, and other vegetables, which we know today to be rich in Vitamin C.

In the 1700s, James Lind, an acting physician with the British Royal Navy, observed the same symptoms such as bleeding gums, thin skin, and the appearance of ulcerations on the limbs that Hippocrates had noted thousands of years before. The disease lost its Latin name and got the name of scurvy.

Lind determined the sailors could restore their health by consuming lemons, limes, and oranges, but it wasn’t until the late 1920s that research about ascorbic acid was published and it became more widely known by the public as Vitamin C.

Vitamin C has been the subject of much research since then. It was during the 1960s that the chemist, chemical engineer, and peace activist Dr. Linus Pauling and two colleagues founded the Institute of Orthomolecular Medicine in Menlo Park, California. The institute was later renamed the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine and was where Dr. Pauling directed his well-known works on the values of Vitamin C as a potential help for the common cold, heart disease, and even some forms of cancer.

Signs of Vitamin C Deficiency

In addition to the symptoms of a lack of Vitamin C noted by Hippocrates and James Lind, other signs of a Vitamin C deficiency may include:

  • Lowered immunity
  • Increased sensitivity to known allergens and the onset of new allergies
  • Depression
  • Bleeding gums
  • Anemia
  • Pain in the joints and limbs
  • Skin that is dull or easily bruised.

Eating foods rich in Vitamin C such as citrus, kiwi fruits, guava, pineapple, strawberries, onions, bell peppers, papaya, apricots, broccoli, and kale are just a few options. There are times, however, when fresh fruits and vegetables are less available. That’s when taking a daily Vitamin C supplement is the ideal solution to help boost your immune system.

How Can Vitamin C Help?

There is no shortage of foods with added Vitamin C or Vitamin C supplements on the market today. In a recent market report released earlier this month, the world Vitamin C market is estimated at some $1.55 billion in the U.S. alone. That amount is expected to increase with an estimated worldwide consumption of Vitamin C supplements and foods reaching some $15.5 billion by 2030.

Today, doctors and other healthcare professionals regularly recommend taking a daily Vitamin C supplement to boost immunity, lower high blood pressure and the risk of heart disease, ensure good eye health, and the signs of aging.

Introducing Sir Jason Winters Vitamin C Gummies

While it is easy to find a vitamin supplement to add to your daily routine as capsules, pills, drinks, or other products, one of the easiest ways of getting proper supplementation is through gummies.

Unlike other Vitamin C supplements that can have a sour or acidic taste, Sir Jason Winters Vitamin C Gummies are chewable and pleasant tasting, making them very easy to take.

For adults, taking two Sir Jason Winters Vitamin C gummies each day, alone or with a meal, will provide 250 milligrams of Vitamin C. That’s 278 percent of the FDA’s recommended daily allowance.

Don’t take more than the daily recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers or children under the age of 18 should consult a doctor or other healthcare professional before this or any other dietary supplement.

Our gummies are made with natural flavors and colors. Our customers who may have a tree nut allergy must note that our Vitamin C gummies and other gummies in the Sir Jason Winters supplements contain coconut oil.

Now, for a limited time, you can get our new Vitamin C gummies at a fantastic introductory price.
